Position: Vancouver Research Assistant for Tumor Bank
Join UBC's OVCARE as a full-time Research Assistant, contributing to groundbreaking gynecologic cancer research. Help lead the daily operations of a critical biobank focused on tissue samples.

In this role at the Huntsman Laboratory, you will collaborate with an innovative team to manage biological samples, perform routine molecular techniques, and maintain detailed inventories. Your leadership and technical skills will support ongoing research initiatives, while your attention to detail ensures compliance and excellence in lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of the biobank in collaboration

• Process and document biospecimen handling accurately

• Coordinate researcher requests for biospecimens

• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

• Mentor co-op students on lab techniques and protocols

Requirements:

• Completion of a relevant technical program or degree

• Minimum three years of experience in lab settings

• Experience in molecular biology preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
