In your role as Principal Archaeologist, you will oversee field investigations and collaborate with Indigenous Nations while sustaining respectful relationships. With a minimum of ten years in consulting, you will manage project budgets and schedules, secure necessary permits, and produce high-quality reports. Mentorship will be a key aspect of your contribution to junior staff and Indigenous workers on your team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead archaeological field programs ensuring compliance with permits
• Support proposal development and secure alteration permits
• Design, oversee investigations, and manage technical reporting
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and invoicing
• Cultivate partnerships with Indigenous communities for project success
Requirements:
• Graduate degree or equivalent in Archaeology or Anthropology
• 10+ years of relevant consulting experience
• Registered Professional Consulting Archaeologist with BC status
• Experience with site identification and documentation
• Proficient in MS Office and field data collection tools
