Research Associate. Department:
Ryan Lab, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science. Position duration: one‑year, 0.8 FTE, starting September 2026. Expected pay: $85,000 – $95,000 annually.

• Purification and NMR structural characterization of natural products.
• Familiarity with analytical and organic chemistry.
• Investigation of biosynthetic pathways using bioinformatic, genetic, and chemical techniques.

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Natural Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, and/or Molecular Biology.
• At least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in natural products research.
• Experience in microbiology.
• Experience in purification and structural characterization of organic molecules using mass spectrometry and NMR.
• A strong publication record.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities; ability to independently execute experiments and to mentor younger scientists.
