Position: Laboratory Research Coordinator Role
UBC's Faculty of Medicine seeks a Laboratory Research Coordinator to support vital health research initiatives. This role focuses on project management, laboratory operations, and safety compliance in pediatrics research.

As part of the Department of Pediatrics, the Research Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator in managing laboratory and clinical studies on immunology and infectious diseases. This position is perfect for those with a solid background in lab work and a passion for enhancing diversity in research settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments and report findings accurately

• Oversee biological specimen processing and storage

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lab upkeep

• Organize meetings, take minutes, and circulate materials

• Prepare research documentation including abstracts and presentations

Requirements:

• Two years of lab experience or equivalent education

• Preferred training in public health or life sciences

• Knowledge of lab management and biosafety standards

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Capable of working both independently and in teams
