The Research Scientist role in the Advanced Composite Materials and Structures Group focuses on developing and characterizing carbon fiber and composite materials. This position requires a combination of experimental research, student supervision, and technical reporting. You’ll contribute to advancing sustainable manufacturing processes and oversee key laboratory operations in a thriving research environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop protocols for carbon fiber and composite materials production
• Conduct research on sustainable carbon fiber manufacturing techniques
• Design and analyze laboratory experiments effectively
• Prepare technical reports and project deliverables
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate researchers
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Applied Science
• Minimum one-year related experience in a lab
• Commitment to equity and diversity in research
• Preferred: MASc or PhD in relevant engineering field
• Experience in composite material characterization and processing
