Contribute significantly to nephrology research at the UBC Blydt-Hansen Laboratory. This role involves assisting with patient recruitment, data collection, and laboratory tasks across various studies.
As a Research Technician, you will aid in the administration of studies involving organ transplantation and chronic kidney disease. Your responsibilities will include scheduling visits, preparing ethics applications, and engaging in data analysis. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and prepare for study participant visits
• Gather and organize patient data and study samples
• Analyze collected data with statistical tools
• Maintain study databases on electronic platforms
• Assist in managing research grant applications
Requirements:
• Minimum of high school diploma with two years' relevant experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Familiarity with databases such as REDCap
• Preference for candidates with a science or health background
