The successful candidate will primarily oversee the Thermo Fisher Scientific Nexsa G2 X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer within the Electron Microscopy Laboratory. Responsibilities include experimental design, data analysis, and technical training for users from academia and industry. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced material characterization while developing innovative analytical methods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate the Thermo Fisher Scientific Nexsa G2 X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer
• Design experimental approaches for surface and near-surface analysis
• Provide training on safe and effective equipment operation
• Analyze and interpret XPS data for diverse applications
• Communicate results and assist with project delivery
Requirements:
• PhD in materials science, physics, or related field
• One year of relevant experience preferred
• Expertise in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy techniques
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with data analysis tools like Python or MATLAB
