Explore archaeological sites as a Junior Field Archaeologist with ERM in Vancouver, BC. This full-time, limited-term position involves field surveys, excavation, and compliance with safety regulations.
As a vital part of ERM's archaeology and cultural heritage team, you will conduct archaeological field studies in various terrains. Candidates with an Anthropology degree, especially in archaeology, are encouraged to apply. This role requires strong outdoor skills and the ability to work on variable weather conditions while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee archaeological field surveys and excavation
• Inspect land for archaeological resources
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
• Complete additional tasks as needed
• Represent ERM in communications with agencies
Requirements:
• Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology preferred
• 0-3 years experience in archaeological assessments
• Field school experience is a plus
• Ability to work 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
• Capable of extended outdoor work
