Job Description

Our Community & Culture work focuses on human environment services including engagement, Rights and interests assessment, Indigenous Knowledge studies, and socio-economic services. Much of this work supports impact assessment processes, alongside planning, advisory, and other decision-making contexts.

As an Analyst, you will support research, analysis, engagement, and technical reporting that helps clients and communities navigate complex social, environmental, and regulatory challenges. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to balanced, credible outcomes by helping bring together Indigenous and Western ways of knowing within a multi-lens framework.

This role is well suited to individuals who are building their consulting, analytical, and communication skills and are interested in supporting work with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Nations, communities, organizations, industry, and government.

Analyst Responsibilities (All Service Areas)

These responsibilities define the core expectations for all Analysts at TWC, establishing accountabilities across project delivery, team collaboration, and professional development.

• Support the delivery of accurate, high-quality project work that meets defined requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Apply TWC methodologies and multi-lens approaches while developing consulting, technical, and professional skills.
• Contribute to integrated project delivery by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting cohesive project outcomes.
• Build positive working relationships with team members, clients, Indigenous Nations, and project partners through professional communication and dependable delivery.
• Support business development activities through research, proposal support, and the preparation of background materials.
• Manage assigned tasks and priorities effectively while seeking guidance and escalating issues when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, client, quality, and health and safety requirements in all work.

Role-Specific Responsibilities (Community & Culture)

These responsibilities describe how the Analyst contributes to Community & Culture projects through research, analysis, engagement support, and technical reporting.

• Support engagement, Rights and interests assessment, Indigenous Knowledge studies, socio-economic services, and related impact assessment, planning, advisory, and decision-making work.
• Conduct research, data collection, analysis, and synthesis of information from multiple sources to support project objectives and client needs.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical deliverables, including reports, engagement summaries, briefing materials, meeting notes, technical memos, presentations, and decision-support documents.
• Support engagement activities by preparing materials, documenting discussions, maintaining records, and tracking commitments and follow-up actions.
• Summarize and synthesize information related to Indigenous communities, Indigenous Rights and interests, land and resource use, community priorities, socio-economic conditions, and other human environment topics.
• Support the application of engagement inputs, Indigenous Knowledge, technical studies, and multidisciplinary perspectives within project deliverables.
• Maintain organized project records, data sources, research materials, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
• Work respectfully with Indigenous Knowledge, following established protocols, governance expectations, and appropriate use practices.
• Support the application of relevant legislation, policy, guidance, and leading practices related to Indigenous rights, consultation, engagement, impact assessment, environmental assessment, planning, and regulatory processes.
• Contribute to balanced, credible outcomes by supporting work that brings together Indigenous and Western ways of knowing through TWC's multi-lens approach.

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, Indigenous studies, planning, policy, geography, environmental studies, economics, or a related discipline.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience conducting research, data collection, analysis, writing, or reporting through academic, community, volunteer, or professional work.
