Xenon Pharmaceuticals, located in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Research Associate on a 12-month contract. This role focuses on in vivo pharmacology to assess the pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and safety of experimental compounds. Candidates must prioritize animal welfare and possess hands-on experience with laboratory rodents, holding high ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain animal care standards per CCAC guidelines

• Conduct in vivo pharmacology experiments collaboratively

• Administer compounds and perform pharmacokinetic studies

• Document experiments accurately in an Electronic Lab Notebook

• Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with safety policies

Requirements:

• BSc in Life Sciences or RVT Diploma

• Minimum 6 months experience with laboratory rodents

• Proficiency in basic in vivo procedures

• Strong organizational and observational skills

• Excellent record keeping and communication capabilities
