Position: Lab Assistant Role at Loewen Lab
Support innovative research at the Dr. Christopher Loewen Laboratory, UBC, as a Laboratory Assistant. This role includes cleaning, stocking supplies, and aiding in fundamental research activities.

In the Faculty of Medicine's Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences, this role is aimed at individuals with a background in laboratory operations. You will participate in cleaning, preparation tasks, and contribute to team efforts in sample sorting and inventory maintenance, while enhancing your skills in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean laboratory glassware and maintain cleanliness

• Assist in preparing and organizing supplies and samples

• Contribute to routine lab activities and inventory checks

• Support senior researchers with basic tasks

• Join and participate in lab meetings and discussions

Requirements:

• Completion of high school or equivalent

• Strong commitment to equity and diversity principles

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields

• Organizational skills and ability to work independently

• Prior lab experience is a plus
