Join WSP as a Marine Archaeologist in British Columbia, working on innovative projects that intersect heritage and environmental science. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and Indigenous communities for impactful archaeological services.
We are looking for an Intermediate Archaeologist with marine experience to enhance our Heritage team s position involves diverse archaeological projects across Canada, focusing on underwater and terrestrial heritage. You will play a crucial role in managing research, fieldwork, and excavations, contributing to the growth of WSP's marine practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support terrestrial archaeological programs and impact assessments
• Engage in intertidal and underwater archaeological investigations
• Use remote-sensing technologies for marine surveys
• Assist with project management, documentation, and quality control
• Mentor junior staff and share technical expertise
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline;
Master's preferred
• Professional experience in marine and terrestrial archaeology
• Understanding of Canadian heritage legislation
• Ability to interpret marine data and utilize GIS
• Valid driver’s license; travel required
