Research Assistant in Harm Reduction

Contribute to impactful harm reduction research at the University of British Columbia as a Research Assistant in the Palis Laboratory. Focus on data management, writing, and collaborative project work.

This role supports the BC Centre for Disease Control in projects related to substance use services. You will engage in literature reviews, prepare presentations and reports, and attend vital meetings to align with research priorities. Your detail-oriented and organized nature will help ensure tasks are completed effectively within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare data for epidemiological analyses

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews

• Assist in writing manuscripts for publication

• Develop knowledge translation presentations

• Participate in regular project meetings

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field with three years’ experience

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing tasks

• Commitment to equity and diversity in research practices
