IBD Research Assistant at UBC

Become a key player at UBC as a Medical Geographer helping to understand Inflammatory Bowel Disease through epidemiological research. This position combines data analysis with project support.

As part of the Jacobson Laboratory, you will work directly with Dr. K. Jacobson on research that investigates environmental determinants of disease.

Your role will include responsibilities such as assisting with data management, writing reports, and contributing to grant applications. Candidates should have strong analytical skills and a background in health sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and submitting REB protocols

• Manage and analyze health administrative databases

• Prepare reports on research findings

• Write and support grant application processes

• Collaborate with trainees on IBD research projects

Requirements:

• Relevant university degree or technical program

• Minimum three years of applicable experience

• Commitment to diversity and inclusion

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and data analysis tools

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
