Fruit Stand Manager (Mobile Operations)

Term: Full‑Time, Mid‑June to Mid‑September

Hours: Approximately 28–34 hours/week

• 2 days/week: 10‑hour shifts
• 2 days/week: 4–7 hour shifts

Location: Based in Vancouver, BC (includes daily driving and deliveries)

Berrymobile Fruit Distribution Inc. is a Vancouver‑based company dedicated to bringing fresh, local, and ethically grown fruit from BC farms directly to our community. What began as a single roadside stand has grown into a network of vibrant fruit stands in some of Vancouver’s busiest parks — and we’re still growing!

We take pride in delivering high‑quality produce while supporting BC farmers and promoting sustainable, local food systems.

The Fruit Stand Manager plays a key leadership role in our operations — part driver, part delivery coordinator, part team lead. You'll be responsible for transporting and restocking fruit daily, overseeing 2–3 fruit stand locations, ensuring smooth daily operations, and supporting on‑site staff with guidance and problem‑solving.

This role requires confidence in driving a large cargo van , managing multiple priorities on the go, and maintaining excellent communication with our team. It’s ideal for someone reliable, self‑directed, and energized by a physically active, outdoor job.

• Drive and operate a large delivery van to transport fresh fruit and supplies between our warehouse and multiple fruit stand locations
• Set up and take down fruit stands at the start and end of the day
• Monitor and restock supplies to ensure each stand has what it needs to operate efficiently
• Visit and supervise 2–3 fruit stand locations daily to ensure setup is clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards
• Provide on‑the‑ground support and training for staff, helping troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Communicate product updates, pricing changes, and scheduling info to stand staff
• Collaborate with the HR team regarding staff scheduling and performance updates
• Assist with general warehouse tasks or additional deliveries as needed

• Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driving record (ICBC driver’s abstract required)
• Comfortable driving and parking a large, extended‑length Sprinter van in urban settings
• Reliable, adaptable, and highly organized
• Excellent verbal communication and leadership skills
• Able to work independently and take initiative while also collaborating as part of a team
• Physically capable of lifting fruit boxes and setting up displays
• Must have a smartphone with texting and/or data access
• Willing to work weekends and long weekends , including early mornings and extended shifts
• Familiarity with Vancouver neighbourhoods and parks is an asset
