Come make people’s days a little sweeter.
Lee’s Donuts started in 1979 as a little mom-and-pop donut shop in the heart of Granville Island Public Market.
More than 45 years later, we’re still doing what we’ve always done: making fresh, classic donuts and creating the kind of experience that makes people happy they stopped by.
We’ve grown a lot since those early days, but we never want to lose what makes Lee’s, Lee’s.
We care about great donuts, good people, warm hospitality and having some fun along the way. We believe work should feel welcoming, people should be able to be themselves, and a trip to the donut shop should feel like one of the better parts of someone’s day.
That’s where you come in.
You’ll be one of the people behind the counter helping customers navigate some very important decisions. Chocolate or maple? Filled or fritter? One donut or six? We don’t judge.
Although, six does give you more options.
So, what does a Donut Server actually do?
You’re part host, part donut expert, part box-packing professional.
You’ll greet customers, help them choose their donuts, take orders, process payments and make sure everyone leaves feeling a little happier than when they walked in.
You’ll keep the display looking beautiful, learn the lineup well enough to answer questions and make recommendations, restock as needed, and help keep the shop clean and running smoothly.
You’ll also help decorate and finish donuts, which means you may occasionally be trusted with icing and sprinkles.
Use this power responsibly.
When it gets busy, everyone jumps in. We move quickly, help each other out and keep the good energy going, even when there’s a lineup and someone is still deciding between the last two donuts in the case.
You might be our kind of person if...
· You genuinely like people and enjoy making them feel welcome.
· You can chat with a customer, pack a donut box and keep an eye on what needs restocking without your brain completely leaving the building.
· You show up when you say you will. (Your teammates will love you for this.)
· You’re comfortable working at a good pace when things get busy.
· You notice the little things, whether that’s a messy counter, an empty display spot or a customer who looks like they could use some help.
· You take feedback well, ask questions and actually want to learn.
· You’re happy jumping in wherever the team needs you.
And most importantly,
you’re a good human who wants to work with other good humans.
Customer service, retail, hospitality or food experience is a bonus, but we’re much more interested in the person than the resume.
We can teach you the donuts.
A great attitude? That part you have to bring yourself.
The important stuff
Pay: $18.25/hour + tips
Position: Part-time
Schedule: Minimum of one shift per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts depending on availability and business needs.
This is an active, customer-facing role. You’ll spend a lot of your shift on your feet, moving around the shop, working with our POS system and helping wherever needed.
You’ll also follow our food safety and cleanliness standards because while we absolutely support having fun at work,
sticky counters are not part of the vibe.
Clean shop. Happy donuts. Happy people.
Why Lee’s?
Because we think where you work, and who you work with, matters.
You’ll get to know regulars, meet visitors from all over the place and work alongside people who care about creating a genuinely great experience.
You’ll become part of a Vancouver brand that has been around since 1979 and somehow still gets genuinely excited about a perfectly packed box of donuts.
And you’ll spend your shifts handing people something they’re almost always pretty happy to receive.
That’s a pretty good gig.
We take our donuts seriously.
Ourselves? Considerably less so.
If you’re looking for a place where you can work hard, meet great people, be yourself and have some fun along the way, we should probably talk.
Come sling some donuts with us. 🍩
Side effects may include knowing every donut by name and developing very strong opinions about the ideal assorted dozen.
