Deli Clerk

We are looking for aDeli Clerkto join ourteam! This role includes recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging and pricingmeats and cheeses, and preparing special orders and party trays.

Responsibilities consist of cleaning and preparing workstations, answering questions from customers about products available in the deli section and helping customers checkout as needed.
Ultimately, our Deli Clerk will focus on providing exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, providingsamples and responding to requests.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Recommend, slice, dish, package, weigh, andprice deli items for customers
Inform customers of department offerings,upsells, prepares special orders and party platters; offer samples
Hot and cold food preparation, including sandwiches, chickens, salads,soups and specialty trays
Ensure the store isclean, safe and ready for shoppers
Rotation, loading and unloading of deli department product
Stock and replaceproducts to avoid any damages
Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
Backroom and inventory management
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand during scheduled shift,withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
Useof commercial power equipment, including slicers and ovens
