Front End - Clerk Purpose Grid SW

Overview:

This position is to be used when the dealer-owner wishes to hire cashiers with no prior experience and train them on the job. This position is to be used in the majority of stores. The cashier must be quick and efficient, as well as courteous and attentive to customers.

• Enter and/or scan the item(s) selected by the customer.
• Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.
• Handle cash and other payment methods (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.
• Bag items according to established standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.

• A high school diploma is a valuable asset.
• Knowledge of the cash register system is a major asset.
