Outside Sales Representative

Our client is a diversified distributor of non-residential construction products in Western Canada. Since the Company was founded in 1985, they have been a trusted supplier to customers across a diverse set of industries including mechanical and electrical contracting, utilities, OEMs, municipalities, fabricators and niche re manufactured steel products. They are adding an Outside Sales Rep to the team. If you are a hunter with a proven track record, this could be the opportunity for you.

Specific

Responsibilities Include:

Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new business opportunities

Strategically develop, schedule and execute sales strategies

Keep management informed of competitive environment and market conditions

Complete accurate call reports, weekly work plans and territory analysis

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, visiting key vendors and attending appropriate trade shows

Contribute to team effort by doing other duties as required

What We’re Looking For Includes:

Bachelor or college degree preferred or 3 - 5 years minimum outside sales experience

B2B sales experience in electrical, plumbing or refrigeration a real asset

Consultative selling skills, exceptional business development aptitude

Relationship-based sales style with strong questioning skills

Entrepreneurial spirit with a solid customer service focus

Highly evolved time management skills and a good sense of urgency

Highly motivated self-starter with a great sense of humour

Some travel required in Western Canada
