Job Description:

As a Solutions Engineer
, you will be responsible for running all POVs and successfully closing deals. You will have experience in managing the full sales process for over accounts, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex sales cycles.

Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills are essential for this role. You will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of solutions to our clients.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Find and demonstrate the quantifiable value the prospect gains within your deals to achieve the tech win.
  • Position Darktrace’s value against different pains for the client or prospect.
  • Technically own your accounts – Proactively drive to fix technical challenges, and achieve tech win.
  • Successfully run the standard sales process, covering all Darktrace products.
  • Demonstrate that you refine your presenting and POV strategy, from feedback and experience.
  • Own your quota number – work very closely with your PODed AEs to understand your account lists, drive pipeline, adjust sales technique, resource your time, and generally do what’s needed to drive revenue. Working well with this team and other internal stakeholders is key.
  • Position all Darktrace products and the pain they resolve.
  • Implement the MEDDPPIC framework and utilize it within internal reviews and updates.
  • Capture and utilize success criteria.
  • Develop and refine discovery questions and techniques.
  • Demonstrate relationship skills internally and with prospects and customers.
  • Proactively and independently resolve technical problems, following escalation procedures.
  • Demonstrate confident and engaging presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Maintain organized account administration and updates.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of Darktrace solution, including self‑sufficiency and proficiency in Darktrace platform across all coverage areas.
  • Accuracy, consistently and independently conducting full sizing, that includes all environments covered by Darktrace.
  • Obtain Threat Visualizer Essentials Certification and one additional Darktrace Certification.
  • Complete all assigned training and become a level 1 Product Specialist.
  • Understand product workflow.
  • Proactively shadow others.
  • Travel regionally, and potentially internationally, to client sites as permitted by health guidelines.

Qualifications &

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering role; experience in cybersecurity is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities for a client-facing role.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work collaboratively within a fast-paced, innovative team.
  • Passion for staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and a willingness to continuously develop your skillset.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Proficiency in French is highly preferred, but not a requirement for consideration.
