THE ROLE
Our Company's recently completed real estate project, Marine Landing , is an industrial and office strata development in South Vancouver. We're hiring a dedicated Business Development Representative to identify and engage small-to-mid-sized businesses across the Greater Vancouver Area that could benefit from owning their workspace.
Your scope is lead generation only. Once solid interest is established, the sale transitions to our licensed real estate broker to complete the sales process - you focus entirely on building the pipeline.
You’re built your career in retail sales - ideally with a well-known retailer - and you know how to turn a cold conversation into a warm relationship. You’re comfortable picking up the phone, you bounce back from rejection quickly, and you’re motivated by results because results pay well. Real estate experience is not required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Research and build prospect lists across target industries in Greater Vancouver
- Cold call and email businesses to introduce Marine Landing and gauge interest
- Build rapport, communicate the own-vs-lease value proposition, and book tours
- Ask for referrals and leave every conversation with the door open
- Hand warm leads to our broker team and track your pipeline with regular updates
TARGET INDUSTRIES
Architecture, accounting, legal, medical & dental offices, fashion & fabrication, food & beverage, technology, engineering, import/export, and more.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Retail sales background - experience with a reputable national/international retailer preferred
- Natural rapport-builder; warm and persistent without being pushy
- Comfortable with cold outreach and resilient under rejection
- Self-directed and motivated by commission upside
- Organized; able to track outreach and report on pipeline progress
- Fluency in multiple languages is an asset given the community we serve
COMPENSATION
This position has a base + commission structure.
Base compensation is $25-35 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience directly relevant to the role. In addition, this position offers a lucrative commission structure for every lead that results in a sales closing.
