Laboratory Technician B

Laboratory Technician B – AGAT Laboratories – Vancouver, BC

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician B to join our lab working out of our Vancouver, BC facility. This position is given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and assists with administrative and basic laboratory services.

• Perform standard laboratory procedures, including the preparation of samples, reagents, and calibration solutions.
• Calibrate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot intermediate-level instrumentation.
• Compile, verify, and validate data with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround time expectations and quality assurance protocols.
• Perform general lab support tasks such as washing glassware, cleaning workstations, and managing waste disposal.
• Adhere to all Quality Control procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Accurately report analytical results and document work clearly.
• Carry out additional lab duties as assigned.

• Post‑secondary education in a science‑related field;
  Technical Diploma or
  
  B.Sc. preferred.
• Prior experience troubleshooting lab instruments is an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet lab goals.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment.
