We are currently looking for experienced Security Officers to work in a dynamic Marine Transport Security environment. We are looking to fill full-time positions and preference will be given to applicants with an open availability.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong English communication skillsMust be willing and able to pass additional security clearances; this position requires a valid Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC)Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driving abstractStrong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientationPhysically capable of completing all aspects of the assigned duties, including but not limited to standing and walking for long periods, patrolling outdoors over uneven ground, and getting in and out of a vehicle repeatedly throughout the shiftJOB DUTIES:
Patrolling all site property, buildings, fences, and gates using a Paladin vehicle and on footTraffic management on site roadways, including truck queuing / staging as requiredAccess control, including confiscating cancelled, expired, or missing badgesRespond to intrusion alarms and disruptions involving site propertyImmediately informing the client of any serious incident or threat of an incidentCoordinating with the client and all emergency agencies responsible for the enforcement of criminal and environmental statutesProviding the client with regular and timely incident reportsParticipate in training, planning, and execution of site security and emergency drills and exercisesParticipating in crime prevention initiatives identified by the client in conjunction with local municipalitiesOther duties as required to meet operational needsCandidates best suited to work within this contract will be those who are striving for career progression within the security industry.
