A Corporate Security Guard ensures the safety of personnel, assets, and facilities within a corporate office setting. This role goes beyond traditional guarding, integrating access control, incident response, workplace safety, visitor management, and threat awareness. Guards act as proactive security professionals and service ambassadors in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities for Concierge Security Guard - Corporate

• Monitor entry points and enforce badge-in/badge-out procedures to prevent unauthorized access.
• Perform regular interior/exterior patrols to deter unauthorized behavior, identify hazards, and ensure CCTV/alarm system functionality.
• Monitor CCTV feeds, respond to sensor or alarm activations, and escalate incidents as needed.
• Respond promptly to medical, behavioral, or security incidents; coordinate emergency services.
• Support with de-escalation of challenging guests at the front desk and with Front Desk staff.
• Investigate workplace incidents (theft, trespassing, violence), prepare incident reports, and collaborate Corporate Security on actions to complete when an incident occurs.
• Collaborate with Facilities, IT, and Front Desk staff to enforce policies and procedures for workplace safety.
• Participate and lead emergency drills (fire, active shooter, medical); support evacuation procedures and training programs.
• Serve as the welcoming face and security liaison—assist employees, executives, and visitors with professionalism.
• Escalate issues proactively, using a blend of hospitality and security awareness to enhance occupant experience.
• Timely reporting on any incidents using the proper reporting protocols.
• A clear understanding of the company’s policies and procedures to support with day-to-day operations and security support.
• Immediate communication with Corporate Security during an incident or challenging guest interaction.
• Proactively identify any potential threats or safety concerns in or around the office; provide recommendations for safety improvements.

Qualifications for Concierge Security Guard - Corporate

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification - an asset
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in advanced phone & computer skills
