Mobile Response Unit Coastal Health

Securicare is seeking Mobile Healthcare Security Officers to support our operations across the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) portfolio in Metro Vancouver. In this role, you will provide mobile patrol coverage across multiple healthcare sites, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will respond to incidents, support frontline teams, and maintain a strong visible presence in a fast‑paced healthcare setting.

• Conduct regular patrols of multiple sites to monitor for any unwanted or suspicious activities.
• Provide a security presence in designated areas (e.g., parking lots during shift changes) or accompany staff in the community.
• Respond to alarms and security incidents at different locations, assess the situation, and take appropriate action.
• Document any security‑related incidents encountered during patrols, providing detailed reports for further investigation.
• Maintain a visible presence and conduct regular patrols to deter potential security threats or unauthorized individuals.
• Ensure the security of buildings, gates, and access points through routine checks.
• Conduct scheduled lockups at identified sites to maintain security.

• Valid Security Guard License
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Valid Intermediate First Aid certification
• Valid Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (MORB) is an asset
• Strong observational and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in security or mobile patrol is an asset
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
