Experienced Security Guard

Join our professional security team at the Vancouver Public Library site. We need skilled Security Guards who excel in customer service and emergency response.

In this role, you'll be tasked with access control, patrolling the library, and monitoring the premises through CCTV systems. Your ability to handle escalated situations with empathy and professionalism is crucial, especially when interacting with vulnerable community members. Your experience in reporting and crime prevention will directly contribute to a safer public space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service to all visitors

• Control access points to maintain safety standards

• Patrol library premises regularly for deterrence

• Monitor CCTV for real-time safety assessments

• Report incidents and identify safety concerns promptly

Requirements:

• Must have a valid BC Security License

• Minimum 3 years in security roles

• Customer service experience of at least 1 year

• Occupational First Aid Level 2 preferred

• Strong conflict resolution skills
