CCTV Surveillance Operator - Overnight Shift
Job Description:
There is an exciting opportunity to join our emerging company, Grey Owl Digital Surveillance, based in Vancouver. Reporting to the CCTV Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in operating the monitoring station and maintaining the safety of our clients’ assets.
This position works for overnight shift.

- Conduct visual patrol verifications of assigned properties utilizing CCTV programs and/or associated software.
- Investigate any and all causes of alarm conditions as indicated or flagged in the CCTV programs and/or associated software.
- Activate any assigned device(s) on an assigned property or operational sector in compliance with policy and procedure manual(s).
- Conduct attentive and alert surveillance and counter-surveillance of any assigned properties, assets or person(s).
- Prepare and submit Incident Reports for Senior Management and location stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit reports for Crown Counsel or District Attorney according to operational sector.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed by shift end.
- Conduct escalating communications with local authorities and agencies in accordance with policy and procedure manual(s).
- Ensure that emergency services are activated and correctly directed as required in response to on-location incidents and observations.
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity, and exercises confidentiality.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Valid BC Security Worker’s Licence.
- Familiarity with standard and emergency security operations for construction, commercial, retail, and/or residential settings.
- Familiarity with CCTV operations and associated hardware/software.
$21-23 per hour
