Healthcare Security Professional

Securicare is hiring a Healthcare Security Professional to enhance safety across healthcare facilities within the Vancouver Coastal Health network. This role involves proactive patrols and effective incident response.

Located at the University of British Columbia Hospital, you will ensure a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Ideal candidates should possess strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams and conduct access control to maintain safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor entry points and authorize access for authorized personnel

• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior facility areas

• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and security incidents

• Follow emergency protocols for effective response during crises

• Document incidents accurately and notify appropriate personnel

Requirements:

• Valid BC Security Guard License and Advanced Security Training certification

• 1+ year of security experience in a healthcare setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent observational and problem-solving abilities

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
