Events Safety Assistant Manager Position

Take charge of event public safety as the Assistant Manager at the Pacific National Exhibition. This full-time role emphasizes strategic planning and operational management.

You will lead a diverse team while developing and implementing safety protocols for major public events. Your expertise will ensure that all operational needs are met, and you will engage with key stakeholders, including law enforcement, to uphold safety standards. This position is essential to delivering memorable and secure experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee operations of event safety teams

• Implement security procedures and operational plans

• Handle event budgets and staffing requirements

• Train and manage public safety personnel

• Create comprehensive site security plans

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent

• 5–7 years in security management or public safety

• Familiarity with emergency and risk management

• Valid BC Security Worker/Guard License

• Strong communicator with excellent judgement
