Supervisor, Loss Prevention
Supervisor, Loss Prevention plays a critical role in the daily oversight of Loss Prevention operations and personnel in their assigned stores. This role provides leadership support to the Loss Prevention Manager, Store Management, Associates and leads and trains a team of Loss Prevention Investigators. The Supervisor reinforces the organization’s core values, supports overall store compliance to company policies and executes internal and external loss investigations.
Responsibilities- Supervise a team of Loss Prevention Investigators.
- Effectively schedule the LP team to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Ensure LP duties are completed to department standards.
- Generate, analyze, and communicate reports related to stock shortage performance, internal and external investigations and fraud prevention objectives.
- Review inventory accuracy and shortage controls across the store environment to determine risk exposures and trends; provide recommendations to achieve store goals.
- Communicate store audit results to management to address operational opportunities and improve operational excellence.
- Ensure the store maintains and is compliant with all in‑house Health and Safety functions.
- Ensure incident reports, training and safety measures are completed reliably and timely in accordance with Holt Renfrew standards.
- Collaborate with store teams and departments to communicate Loss Prevention directives and Merchandise Protection Standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with the visual team and store manager.
- Partner with Store Operations on inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and drive stock loss investigations that support shrink reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with store teams and support the LPM to create a Security and Safety plan for each store event and oversee execution.
- Oversee the review of exception‑based reports to identify policy infractions and initiate internal investigations.
- Cooperate with managers, investigators and HR to investigate actionable information arising from reports.
- Conduct internal and external Loss Prevention investigations in collaboration with law enforcement and other agencies to mitigate loss due to theft and fraud.
- Lead, motivate and retain teams of high‑performing employees; provide ongoing coaching, recognition and development.
- Degree or diploma in Law Enforcement or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of progressive Loss Prevention experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced retail environment.
- Positive, high‑energy team player with proven leadership capabilities who takes initiative, accountability and delivers results through others.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Formal training in WZ interview techniques or other related interviewing and interrogation techniques.
- Experience leading change in a rapidly growing business environment.
- Current Provincial Security Guard License.
- Standard First Aid, CPR OPA Level II.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and aptitude for system‑based tools.
Hiring Range: $63,066.66–$77,200.00 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s unique skills, expertise, individual qualifications and assessed contributions to the role following the completion of the interview process. Offers may vary with experience, qualifications, performance and local market conditions.
