Securicare Healthcare Security Professional

Become a Healthcare Security Professional with Securicare to support safety in the Vancouver Coastal Health portfolio. This position requires strong communication skills and situational awareness.

Based primarily at the University of British Columbia Hospital, you will monitor access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents to ensure safety for all. This fast-paced environment needs individuals who can effectively utilize de-escalation techniques and work closely with healthcare teams. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant security experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage access control and verify credentials

• Conduct facility patrols to deter unauthorized access

• Respond immediately to security incidents and emergencies

• Follow protocols for lockdowns and evacuations

• Interact respectfully with diverse individuals

Requirements:

• Valid BC Security Guard License and Advanced Security Training

• 1+ year of experience in security, preferably in healthcare

• Basic computer skills for documentation

• Ability to handle pressure and multi-task

• Post-secondary education is an asset
