Position: Mining Safety Director for STM Associates
Elevate health and safety in mining with STM Associates as the Director of Health & Safety. This strategic role involves leading initiatives across North American operations while traveling to sites regularly.

The Director will set and enhance the corporate health and safety strategy while providing expert guidance to multiple mining sites. Partnering with executive teams, you will strengthen risk management protocols and promote a robust safety culture at every operational level. The role requires active support for programs like underground mining safety, incident investigation, and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead health and safety strategy across multiple North American sites

• Provide governance and operational support to site leadership teams

• Enhance risk management and contractor safety programs

• Conduct audits and manage incident investigations thoroughly

• Engage with teams directly through regular site visits

Requirements:

• 12-15 years in mining health and safety management

• Senior leadership or multi-site health and safety experience

• Expertise in underground mining safety protocols

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field

• Preferred bilingual candidates (Spanish/English)
