Senior Commercial Underwriter

Advance your career as a Senior Underwriter in our Mid-Market Property and Casualty sector in Vancouver, BC. This role requires a minimum of two office days weekly to engage with brokers effectively.

We are looking for an individual with 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting to provide leadership in assessing complex risks. This role involves mentoring, negotiating business, and creating efficient underwriting workflows, all while managing relationships with brokers and reinsurers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strong broker relationships through field visits

• Analyze complex risks and create innovative solutions

• Coach team members in underwriting and broker relations

• Lead workflow improvements to enhance efficiency

• Meet regional underwriting production and service targets

Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Property & Casualty underwriting

• CIP designation or progress towards it is preferred

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Proven ability to negotiate tailored solutions

• Eligible to work in Canada
