As a Senior Technician - Security; with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.
This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

General Accountabilities- Install, program, configure security systems and commissioning, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, fence detection systems, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide expert guidance, and offer solutions tailored to their requirements. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records (documentation) of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare, create, and execute detailed reports and acceptance test plans to meet SLAs, contracts for clients, and internal use.
- Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use.
- Stay up to date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices. Continuously improve your technical skills through training and certifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security systems installation and maintenance.
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation.
- Utilize expertise and experience to serve as a mentor to colleagues, offering guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing equipment for peak operational efficiency.
- Support, lead, and mentor team members.
- Design systems and layouts.
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
- Lead projects at a site level; manage a team of junior technicians as necessary.
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.
- Other duties as required.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
- Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low‑voltage industries.
- Programming experience (essential for senior positions).
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level.
- Valid TQ certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
- Ability to work 10–12 hour days as part of a camp‑based rotational schedule (14 days on / 7 days off).

- Locking Hardware:
Maglocks, Strikes, Mortise, Cylindrical, ADA applications. - Data Terminations.
- Field engineering or estimating skills.
- Updating blueprints on Bluebeam.
- Experience with Procore, Fieldwire, Smartsheets, etc.
- Experience with programing, testing and training end users on various security systems.
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
