Maintenance Specialist​/Property Caretaker

Are you a skilled and versatile maintenance specialist looking for a dynamic contract opportunity? We are seeking an individual with expertise in various maintenance disciplines, including painting, carpentry and drywall, minor electrical work, plumbing, and property maintenance. If you are a reliable with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of residential properties, we want to hear from you. This role is expected to be 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Painting:
Execute high-quality paint jobs for both interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a polished and professional appearance.

Carpentry and Drywall:
Perform repairs and installations of carpentry and drywall elements, addressing issues such as cracks, holes, and general wear and tear.

Minor Electrical Work:
Troubleshoot and complete minor electrical repairs, including the installation and replacement of outlets, switches, and fixtures.

Plumbing:
Handle basic plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets, to maintain optimal functionality.

HVAC:
Conduct routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

General Maintenance:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

Property services:
Provide basic property caretaker services as required including cleaning, organizing, raking leaves, clearing walkways, etc...Requirements:

Proven experience as a maintenance specialist or handyman, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in painting, carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing.

Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time to meet deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Applicants are expected to have their own tools.

Driver's Licence and reliable transportation is required

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Schedule:

Day shift
30-40 hours weekly

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed

Work Location:

In person - West Vancouver Area (with some downtown Vancouver)
