Working under the City of Vancouver, you will address the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, or substance use.
Your role includes engaging with the community, complying with city bylaws, and fostering positive relationships with residents and service providers. Your insights into program challenges will contribute to ongoing improvements in the city’s response strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate support to marginalized individuals
• Distribute resource information and help with community connection
• Engage community members through a trauma-informed lens
• Monitor compliance with City and Park By-laws
• Liaise with external organizations for coordinated responses
Requirements:
• Diploma in community or social services
• Relevant frontline experience with vulnerable populations
• Strong knowledge of social service resources
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Valid Police Record Check is essential
