This role requires dedicated support for the Manager in daily operations, including scheduling educational programs and managing departmental workflows. You'll play an essential part in fostering language learning, maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, and ensuring effective program delivery. Contributing to long-term language revitalization will be a significant aspect of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily Language and Culture Program operations
• Coordinate events, workshops, and community programming
• Ensure program activities meet established timelines
• Act as initial contact in Manager's absence
• Maintain comprehensive records and reports
Requirements:
• 5–7 years’ experience in hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language
• Commitment to sustaining language revitalization efforts
• Prior experience in First Nations community environments
• Proficiency in written and spoken hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓
• Ability to develop budget proposals and reports
Utilize your skills in language management to enrich the Musqueam community and its cultural practices.
