In this position, you will work closely with detectives in the Vancouver Police Department's Sex Crimes Unit.
Your role will include assisting clients affected by sexual violence, helping them navigate the justice system, and developing individualized safety plans. You will also support their recovery process by addressing the impacts of trauma and crime.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide client-focused support to victims of sexual violence
• Collaborate with police for effective case follow-up
• Assist in creating individualized safety plans
• Offer emotional support throughout the justice process
• Maintain communication with community service providers
Requirements:
• B.S.W. or relevant B.A. in a related field
• Minimum two years of experience in victim support services
• Familiarity with the criminal justice system
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
