In this position, you will help families navigate resources and services, working closely with children and caregivers. The Family Support Worker will manage a flexible schedule with occasional evening commitments. Candidates should possess strong skills in advocacy and life skills education, along with experience working specifically with Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advocacy and peer support to families
• Connect families to key community resources
• Perform home visits and manage caseloads
• Educate families on life skills, such as budgeting
• Facilitate group sessions to enhance community ties
Requirements:
• Diploma in Human Services or similar field
• Two years’ experience with Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of early childhood development practices
• Strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
