Social Worker in Long Term Care

This role involves working full-time within an interdisciplinary team to implement social services tailored for an elderly, predominantly Jewish population. Your duties will include overseeing pre-admission processes, providing continual adjustment counselling, and facilitating educational support groups to ease transitions for residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and evaluate social work services across the facility

• Conduct pre-admission interviews and family support

• Offer continuous adjustment counselling to residents

• Facilitate group sessions for community engagement

• Liaise with outside agencies for resident referrals

Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

• At least two years of experience in Long Term Care

• Registered with the BC College of Social Workers

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Understanding of Jewish cultural values beneficial
