FIRST UNITED is seeking two candidates through the Canada Summer Jobs program to assist our Community Services Team from July 6, 2026, to August 28, 2026. This role involves working closely with community members and staff, employing skills in communication and support to address daily challenges. You will help facilitate community drop-in programs and oversee the operations at our community hub.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor safety at the community hub desk
• Assist with harm reduction supply distribution
• Sort and manage donations between multiple sites
• Track program data and manage inventory
• Support meal service delivery for the community
Requirements:
• Completed post-secondary education in a related field
• Strong communication skills in English
• Experience working with marginalized individuals
• Ability to pass a vulnerable sector check
• Must be a Canadian citizen or legally entitled to work in B.C.
