Become a Community Employment Counsellor and help clients navigate job readiness challenges. This full-time position focuses on supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in their career journeys.
In this permanent role, you will assist clients in overcoming employment barriers and developing essential job search strategies. Key responsibilities include interpreting assessment tests and providing resources to community agencies. This position demands a proactive approach to facilitate better employment outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients in job readiness and search strategies
• Administer and evaluate employment assessment tests
• Consult with community groups and businesses
• Enhance career planning support for clients
• Guide clients through résumé preparation and interviews
Requirements:
• Completion of a 1-2 year college diploma
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Must pass a criminal record check
