Youth Support Worker

Position: Full-Time Youth Support Worker
Join PLEA Community Services as a full-time Youth Development Worker in Vancouver, providing vital support to at-risk youth. Help those affected by sexual exploitation access essential resources and rehabilitative services.

The Youth Development Worker role is an integral part of the Vancouver Coastal Youth Services - Onyx team h a focus on voluntary support, you will work closely with youth facing complex challenges, ensuring their immediate safety and assisting in achieving their personal goals. A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience working with high-risk youth are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build trusting relationships with youth and families

• Develop and implement tailored service plans

• Facilitate access to community resources as needed

• Coordinate services and support with Ministry personnel

• Teach essential life skills for independent living

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or equivalent

• Minimum one year experience working with youth

• Valid Class 5 or 7N B.C. Driver's License

• Basic First Aid certification required

• Criminal Record Clearance mandatory
