Position: Housing Outreach Worker Downtown Eastside
Empower vulnerable women in Vancouver as a Housing Outreach Worker with the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre. Assist in securing safe housing while promoting DEWC's mission and values.

The Housing Outreach Worker position reports to the Specialized Services Manager, focusing on outreach services for marginalized women. You will employ a feminist perspective and anti-oppression framework to address homelessness, mental health, and trauma.

Your role will be vital in supporting women and children living in extreme poverty, assisting them in maintaining stable housing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outreach services to women in need

• Support clients in establishing safe housing

• Work from a feminist, anti-oppression perspective

• Maintain records and scheduling efficiently

• Coordinate referrals to support services

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience with marginalized women

• Knowledge of gender-based violence and homelessness

• Ability to work in a chaotic, crisis-driven environment

• First Aid Certification and NVCI required

• Understanding of trauma-informed care responses
