Join Covenant House Vancouver as a Youth Worker, offering critical support to youth navigating homelessness. This role emphasizes skill development and emotional care in a safe environment.
Serving youth aged 16-24, you will help them transition to independent living within the Rights of Passage Program. Your primary responsibilities include delivering life skills training while ensuring access to crucial community resources. This impactful work demands strong relational skills and a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assess youth accessing services
• Establish and maintain supportive relationships
• Complete program intake and orientation
• Guide youth in goal-setting and action planning
• Respond to behavioral and mental health crises
Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in social service or related field
• Two years of full-time experience in a similar role
• First Aid & Crisis Intervention certification
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
Support at-risk youth on their journey to independence at Covenant House Vancouver.
