Community Engagement Team Member VAST

VAST seeks a Community Engagement Worker fluent in Farsi and Dari to provide essential support to clients. Facilitate intake, referrals, and community orientation within a culturally sensitive framework.

In this role, you will conduct intake sessions, translate essential materials, and support the Cultural Broker Program. The position requires excellent communication and the ability to work effectively with individuals facing challenging experiences. This is an in-person and unionized position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake for individuals and small groups

• Translate and manage community outreach materials

• Organize “Welcome to VAST” client orientation sessions

• Follow up with clients on their engagement and support needs

• Support team activities and clinical supervision as needed

Requirements:

• Relevant university degree in fields like sociology or psychology

• Fluency in English, Farsi, and Dari

• Experience in roles that build strong relationships

• Familiarity with migration, human rights, and cultural integration

• Research experience relevant to VAST's goals
