Position: Outreach Worker for Women's Housing Support
Join the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre as an Outreach Worker focused on housing support for women. Utilize your experience to promote safety and stability in the community.

This permanent, full-time role will have you reporting directly to the Specialized Services Manager. You will help vulnerable women in the Downtown Eastside navigate housing challenges and connect with vital resources. Your experience with gender-based violence and mental health challenges will guide your outreach efforts within a feminist framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist women in finding and maintaining safe housing

• Deliver outreach services with sensitivity to trauma

• Promote DEWC's mission and organizational values

• Organize records and manage scheduling

• Provide referrals to community support agencies

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience

• Familiarity with issues affecting marginalized women

• Ability to thrive in a demanding environment

• Required First Aid Certification and NVCI

• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches to care
