Become a Shift Supervisor with FIRST UNITED, ensuring a secure and supportive atmosphere for individuals experiencing homelessness. Use your supervisory experience to lead our shelter's mission-driven efforts.
As a member of our team, you will manage shelter routines, promote safety, and address the needs of residents.
Your role includes supervising staff, conflict resolution, and problem-solving during challenging situations in a 24/7 environment. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and documentation will be key aspects of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise shelter resources and maintain safety
• Train and mentor shelter staff in best practices
• Assist clients with shelter rules and meals
• Ensure cleanliness and restock necessary supplies
• Prepare incident reports and communicate effectively
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years working with addiction or mental health clients
• Basic First Aid and Food Safe Certification required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work under pressure in crisis situations
• Demonstrated cultural competence and professionalism
