Temporary Shelter Case Worker

Support vulnerable individuals as a Temporary Shelter Case Worker with Lookout Housing and Health Society in Vancouver, BC. This full-time role requires effective crisis management and community resource familiarity.

In this position, you will provide essential support and supervision to homeless adults facing various barriers, working closely with your team to facilitate their access to housing, health, and community services. The Shelter Case Worker will assist with case planning and follow-ups to ensure attendees' needs are triaged effectively while maintaining a professional and safe shelter environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer assistance to adults facing multiple barriers

• Develop and implement flexible action plans for guests

• Refer clients to community services for crisis support

• Maintain up-to-date statistical records and documentation

• Provide on-site support to guests and new staff

Requirements:

• Relevant Diploma or Certificate, or Grade 12 education plus 2 years’ experience

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to manage stress in challenging environments

• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
