Position: Vancouver Coastal Health Prevention Specialist
Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Prevention Specialist focused on promoting health and harm prevention in high schools across Vancouver. Leverage your social or behavioral science degree while delivering life skills training.

In this vital role within the Leadership and Resiliency Program (LRP), you will implement health promotion strategies for vulnerable youth, providing crucial interventions and counseling. Your expertise will help identify communities in need and deliver educational programs tailored to support clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement proactive harm prevention strategies

• Identify and engage with high-risk youth populations

• Deliver educational courses and programs for clients

• Provide life skills training and intervention counseling

• Develop effective professional relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioral Science

• Two years of experience in prevention and counseling

• Valid BC Driver’s License for local travel

• Strong knowledge of community health services

• Proven ability in establishing supportive relationships
